Uncover the poetic meanings behind these profound expressions, celebrating the richness of our cultural heritage and fostering connection through shared traditions.

Four Persimmons: 事事如意 “May everything be as you wish!", “be in smooth water”. it has the same pronunciation as “柿柿如意”, which the literal translation is "Persimmon Persimmon as one wishes". Persimmon trees have high ornamental value, so you can maintain a pot at home. It is an auspicious fruit for gifting and can bring good luck.

Fish:年年有余, “May you have prosperity every year.“ it sounds like “年年有鱼”, which the literal translation is “year year have fish“. It can be said to be one of the most representative languages of traditional Chinese auspicious blessings. In one of the traditional auspicious symbols, there are lotus or lotus roots and fish, that is, "lotus has fish". 莲连有鱼, on behalf of the rich life, there is excess wealth and food every year!

Chives: 长长久久, “Forever and ever.” it has the same pronunciation as “长长韭韭” which means long chives. The meaning is enduring; longevity. It has been extended to the lifespan of love. A long-lasting love needs two people to maintain it with the heart.

Birds Lover: 比翼双飞, “Fly together with kissing wings.”, 比翼means fly wing to wing, 双飞 means fly together, A metaphor for lovers that two hearts beating as one, support each other and Inseparable.

Dim Sum Rabbit: 蒸蒸日上“May you flourish every day to a full life” The direct meaning of this about when you are steaming something, the steam goes up, and up. It is often used to wish that someone’s life will get better and better or wish a business gets more prosperous day by day.

Raccoon: Welcoming the God of Wealth 迎財神(Yíng Cái Shén)


We welcome the God of Wealth on the fifth-day 初五 of the first month in the lunar calendar. The God of Wealth is believed to bring prosperity, good fortune, and abundance to households. The practice of welcoming the God of Wealth is rooted in Chinese folk religion and cultural customs.

It was such a rewarding, passionate project that means so much to everyone on the team, revising our culture, relearning and reconnecting to our roots, and sharing them with the people here.
