TongSui Traditional Chinese Dessert

TongSui is a LA based traditional Chinese dessert meet Western cooking method. We explored options such as a naughty tiger thinking about food (Dessert). Tigers, in Chinese culture, represent good luck and is widely used in areas such as lion dancing. We also explored modern English typefaces that are customized to have the characteristics of Chinese typefaces.

For the final logo, we landed on the English double customized typeface paired with a traditional Chinese stamp. The typeface acts in concert with the English.
